Tearing up your homes yard, basement, landscaping or hardscaping is a thing of the past. Pipe bursting is a trenchless sewer pipe replacement system where a cone shape head is hydraulically pulled with a steel cable through the old sewer pipe, breaking apart the old pipe underground while at the same time pulling a new seamless HDPE pipe that is the same size or larger than the old pipe through the old pipe.
1. Identify the Problem with Inspection Camera
When we come to your home or business we will run a camera through your sewer main pipes. From here the technician will be able to evaluate your needs and make recommended solutions and see if we can use the trenchless sewer repair system for your specific problem.
2. Get Access to the Sewer Pipe
One small hole is dug at curb area of the sewer run that will be replaced. A cable is inserted at one end and fed through into basement area. One end of the cable is attached to a pneumatic pump while the other end is attached to a cone shaped bursting head with the new pipe attached.
3. New Pipe Pulled in Through Old Pipe
The bursting head is attached to a new seamless, heat-fused HDPE polyethylene pipe. As the bursting head is pulled through the old sewer pipe, it simply breaks apart the old pipe (ie: cast iron, clay, terra cotta, copper and lead) and pulls the new pipe through to the end.
No Major Excavating Required
Trenchless sewer replacement is performed via small access points, so that means that damage is reduced and minimized. You skip the days of messy excavation equipment at your home, piles of dirt in your yard, and weather delays because of the mud that is created.
Saves Time, Hassle and Money
Not only is excavation expensive for home owners, but creates an additional expense for removal of materials from the project site. When you factor the potential repairs to your landscaping, hardscaping, porches, walkways, and driveways – you add a significant additional cost to a more expensive process.
Stronger & Seamless Pipes with a 50 Year Life Expectancy
Sewer pipe seams and joints are a point of failure in sewer lines. But with a seamless high-quality HDPE polyethylene pipe, you can eliminate the potential for root intrusion and offset or gapped joints. We are so confident that we back our seamless HDPE pipe with a 10 year guarantee.
